This registry was created for two purposes:

  1. To gather information pertaining to how 1964 1/2 - 1966 Mustangs came equipped from the factory.
  2. To compile owner history for these cars.

Ford disposed of the production records for these early Mustangs.  Although there has been work done to compile data on how they came from the factory, the intent here is to use the broad reach of the Internet to clarify the picture further and share the information obtained.

In addition,  people often wish to know the past history of their cars.  The registry will allow people to take a peek into a car's past to determine such things as where it spent portions of its life and what modifications were made over the years.
